Steve Balcerovich is a Colorado native raised on a farming and ranching operation near Kiowa, Colorado, in Elbert County where his mom taught public school for fifty-two years.  Steve earned a Bachelor of Science in business from the University of Colorado, Boulder.  During his college tenure, he served both as student body co-president and as a student lobbyist for the university.
After college graduation, Steve went to work for Public Service of Colorado, (now Xcel Energy), one of the nation’s largest gas and electric utilities.  He worked in-house there for fourteen years, including the last eight years as in-house corporate lobbyist.  In 1998, Steve left his corporate position to jumpstart his own independent lobbying practice.

Steve left Public Service in l998 to start his own lobbying business.  Today, Steve has over twenty-five years of success representing special districts, water, gas, and electric utilities, major corporations, chambers of commerce, and professional trade associations.
