Carolyn Pluta is a bilingual occupational therapist and director of rehabilitation at Arvada Care and Rehabilitation. Her passions in occupational therapy include dementia care, spinal cord injury, positioning techniques, contracture management/prevention, and (her favorite) client advocacy. Carolyn's article "Familiar Pathways: Learning from the Story of Marty" was published in the August 2016 issue of OT Practice Magazine, and in May of 2018 she was the supervising OT for the Washington University in St. Louis service learning trip to Guatemala. Carolyn firmly believes in interdisciplinary collaboration, creative use of resources, the importance of mentorship, and taking on a holistic perspective of occupational therapy. She spends her free time snowboarding, rock climbing, camping, paddle boarding, and spontaneously traveling with her two dogs, Reese and Joey.
