In Early Intervention Practice an Occupational Therapy practitioner enhances a “family’s capacity to care for their child and promote his or her development and participation in natural environments where the child and family live, work and play” (AOTA, 2014). Early Intervention services in Colorado emphasize the use of evidence based practices including Routines Based Interviews/ Intervention and Occupation Based Coaching models. This interactive session will include activities illustrate these two approaches to early intervention services using an occupation based framework.
